WEEE Directive & RoHS

HomeWEEE Directive & RoHS

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive came into force on 1st July 2006 in relation to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE).It restricts the use of certain substances, beyond a maximum concentration in a range of defined electrical and electronic products across the European market. Our products do not fall into any of the predefined categories in the directive and there is therefore no general requirement for them to comply with either WEEE or the RoHS under the above directives.

The RoHS directive places the responsibility for EEE compliance on the producer of the EEE and the producer must determine whether its product is EEE under the directives and if so ensure its compliance by the due date.

Where our products are used as a component in EEE covered by the directives, the producer must satisfy himself that such EEE will be RoHS compliant. We will be pleased to assist customers with any issues relating to the above.
